Benefits of a UVElite floor renovation
Economy
COST EFFECTIVE FLOOR RENOVATION
A UVElite floor renovation is a cost effective alternative to replacing floors. The majority of the vinyl and linoleum floors that today are replaced can instead be renovated at a cost saving of up to 70% in comparison with a complete floor replacement.
MINIMIZED MAINTENANCE COSTS
You can also minimize your total maintenance cost with the system, since a renovation also reduces chemical use and material consumption that previously was needed to maintain the floor. Moreover, conventional floor care with polish is no longer needed.
INCREASED VALUE
Alongside a floor renovation, you will also increase the value of the original floor investment already made in the property.
Time
SAVE TIME
A floor replacement is usually an expensive investment that often takes several days to install. Similar time consumption also regards other conventional restoration procedures. UVElite renovation provides a restored floor in only 1-3 days, including a complete stripping of the floor. If the floor is already stripped from contamination, the restoration can be completed within 8 hours using UVElite RES with UV-light curing.
EFFECTIVE CLEANING
Our products gives the floor an ergonomically easy cleaned surface which reduces maintenance efforts and making it much easier to clean. This saves both time and physical constraints.
IMMEDIATE USAGE
The renovated floors are ready for use instantly after the UV treatment which enables furniture to be moved in place immediately. The instant wear resistance minimizes the risk for a direct damage to the floor. A fast renovation also provides the floor owner flexibility to decide when they want their floors ready.
Durability
AS GOOD AS NEW
A floor renovated with UVElite products provides an everlastingness and a look that closest could be compared to a new floor surface from the factory.
ACCORDING TO YOUR NEEDS
Customize the floor to meet your needs. The flooring surface can be acquired in various different gloss levels and even colours with Elevate DESign.
TAKE THE STEP
The UVElite RES refurbished area gain maximum hardness, abrasion and chemical resilience right after treatment, which can be compared with other traditional renovation system that might need several days before the full durability has been acquired.
Environment
REDUCED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Our system makes a difference when we set a floor renovation compared to a traditional floor replacement. When replacing a floor, it needs to be removed, disposed of and decomposed. The subfloor may need to be levelled; the new floor needs to be produced and also glued in place. During degradation, new construction, and transportation, there will be additional energy costs. Besides, at a demolition unwanted particles would be released that otherwise would have been kept preserved within the floor material.
IMPROVED INDOOR ENVIRONMENT
The system provides an easy to clean surface that generates reduction in chemical use, a good indoor environment and contribute to a better hygiene. Particle measuring has demonstrated that floors renovated with our products are considerably cleaner than that of floors treated with conventional floor care methods.
ECO FRIENDLY SYSTEMS
UVElite RES contain less than 10 grams of solvents and holds several environmental certificates. The system has very low emission values which makes it one of the most eco-friendly floor renovation systems on the market.

Case Studies
School

“The schools vinyl floor in the entrance hall was renovated with UVElite RES 3.5 years ago. Even if the floors have a very high load with over 700 students and at least 3000 passages a day, no specific floor care has been needed on the surface. The floor requires less cleaning chemicals and materials than before to keep the floor in good condition. Even the mundane anvil has become easier. On the other floors the mop needs to be pressed hard onto the floor to make effect. It is not necessary for the UVElite RES renovated floors that are both easy to clean and significantly reduces strain on the body. There will also be more time that can be spent on the other activities. Dirt measuring with ATP showed that the renovated floors were much cleaner than the other floors.”
Kindergarten

Nordre Follo municipality in Norway is a good example of how floors can be given new life with lower cost and less waste compared to full replacement. Since spring 2024, the municipality has used the solution in corridors and classrooms of two schools, and four kindergartens. Work is distributed room by room throughout the year — not entire schools or kindergartens at once. This provides a more practical and manageable process during daily operations.
Approx. 2.5 million NOK reported savings by renewing old floor coverings with lacquer instead of replacing them.
Lifetime and Long‑Term Savings
Lacquer: longer intervals
UVElite lacquers normally provides longer maintenance intervals than traditional polish when the floor is cleaned and maintained correctly.
Polish: more frequent buildup
Polish often requires: more frequent new layers, periodic stripping, and re-establishing the surface.
Lower Cost Over Time
Fewer major maintenance rounds can reduce labor time and chemical consumption.
Less Downtime
Rooms can be handled stepwise, and the floor can remain in use with better planning.
More Predictable Operation
The customer receives a clear system for cleaning, Refresher intervals, and further follow-up.
Sports Hall

Renovating sports floors is one of the smartest investments you can make. Renovating sports floors is not only sustainable but also one of the fastest ways to restore a floor to like-new condition. After renovation, a specialized sports coating is applied to protect the newly painted sports lines and provide a highly durable surface. Whether the goal is a simple refresh or a complete restoration, the process can be tailored to suit customer requirements, budget constraints and operational schedules. After renovation, the floor gains, proper friction characteristics, clear and updated sports markings, as well as improved aesthetic appearance. At approximately one-third the cost of installing a new floor—and without generating unnecessary waste, dust, or noise—renovation is both environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
"Whenever I recommend floor renovation, it’s because I know it works. It delivers the same results—or even better—than replacing the entire floor. Economically, renovation is hard to beat, and users benefit from less disruption and shorter waiting times before returning to a safe surface with proper friction. - Sustainability is not only about the environment; it’s also about making smart choices for the future. Renovation means thinking long-term—giving something old new life instead of tearing it out and starting over."

Healthcare

- 70% lower cost compared to removing and replacing the floor.
- Saved 98.5% CO₂ compared to installing a new floor.
- 400 m² rescued and redesigned in just 6 days.
The linoleum flooring in a healthcare facility in Vallentuna had long passed its useful life.
In many projects, complete removal and replacement is considered the only solution.
However, the contractor chose a better alternative: renovation.
By retaining the existing floor and renewing its surface instead of replacing it, the project’s environmental impact was significantly reduced. For healthcare facilities, where patient care must continue uninterrupted, traditional floor replacement would have caused major operational disruptions for an extended period.
By renovating the linoleum floor instead of replacing it, the entire 400-square-meter project was completed over just three weekends without disrupting operations. The healthcare center remained fully functional throughout the renovation process. One of the greatest advantages of floor renovation is that it not only improves appearance but also creates a much more hygienic and durable surface. The original floor had developed scratches and seams where dirt and bacteria accumulated, making cleaning difficult. After renovation, the worn surface was transformed into a smooth, seamless floor finished with a UV coating. This sealing process hermetically seals the floor, making it easier to Clean, highly resistant to bacteria and dirt, and harder as well as more durable than a new floor. This makes it ideal for environments with heavy traffic and strict hygiene requirements.
Design Improvements
The renovation also created opportunities for creative design. The floor was finished with a painted pattern using three shades of gray: RAL 7005 for the darker border, RAL 7042 for larger interior areas and finally RAL 7038 wrap-roll finish for the whole floor. The result was a harmonious and professional appearance.
Senior Housing

“When we first visited the UVElite RES-renovated linoleum floors we first thought that we had been taking the elevator to the wrong floor! We had just recently put in a new floor on another level and it was there we thought we had entered. The renovated floor is as neat and of the same quality as the new floor we put in another part of the property. The entire renovation cost only represented about 30% of the cost in relative terms compared with the floors we already replaced. The renovated floor is easy to clean and has contributed to cleaner surfaces, and saved time to other facility service.”
Emergency Service Station

“The Emergency Service Station had to be able to keep operating during the entire renovation without any intervention or obstructions. The work went quickly without delays, despite the fact that the floors have intensive traffic and is open for 24 hours a day. More than a year after the renovation, one can barely discern any wear or tear on the surface despite the intensive traffic. The facility’s refurbishment, including the linoleum floors, were original from 1986, so we were glad to be able to restore and keep the original look.”
Opera House

In July 2015, Gothenburg Opera's inner restaurant section with a cherry-tree floor of about 270 sqm was treated with UVElite's durable and environmentally adapted floor renovation system. Now, half a year later, we can see that some wear can hardly be distinguished on the floor. The staff here at the Opera have also noticed an easier maintenance of the floor area since the renovation. This is a good rating, especially since the restaurant has a high load of about 300 guests a day, lunch and dinner included and stays open for about 250 days a year.
